SLAVE SHIP RISING

November 23, 2017

New Year’s Day, 1738. Over six hundred Africans are killed when the slave ship the Leusden sinks. Two hundred years later, the spirits of the dead return to seek vengeance.

A seventeen-year-old boy from Suriname, a twenty-nine-year old spinster from Harlem, and a nineteen-year-old college student at the newly-opened FTU in Orlando find themselves caught in a battle for their souls.

As they soon learn, sometimes, death is only the beginning. And no battle should be fought alone.
